She resembles one of Hoggs characters too in another respect, as the ladies discovered. – A lame happy looking middle aged stout gentleman with his brother was of our party /[?] Dick, cloth dyer of Edinburgh/ a Scotch family with a carriage & and a tall haughty looking daughter, a pretty looking young gent with a black & white spaniel forever cuddled up in his arms, which he called Gipsy, & which he had just bought in England for £11. A Coll Campbell with his son who was very pleasant & chatty etc, all of whom may recall this days pleasant voyage to our memory.
