had travelled with at different parts of our journey, or had dined with. – It seemed a general rendezvous for our friends & almost made us feel at home.

In the gambling rooms adjoining, play was going on very briskly; when we looked in at 10 o’clock this morning on going to Church it was the same.

A ball takes place in the Cursaal 2 or 3 times a week. Admission to gentlemen 20 crowns to ladies free, gratis, for nothing. Is not this gallant & as it should be.
