with their brother accompanying us & a voiture conveyed us to Wiesbaden through vineyards rows of fruit trees & caterpillars & butterflies. We caught sight of some tempting looking apples & pears and I took advantage of a hill to gather, but they were not ripe; Mrs Joy was more fortunate in finding some fine caterpillars. At Wiesbaden the inn we had been recommended was full, this looked well for the prosperity of the place. We drove therefore to Die Rosa, and we had coffee in their large saloon, which is light & very tastily ornamented, with an orchestra at the mid thereof.
